Domingos Correia (who had a street named after him in the Copacabana neighborhood, Rio de Janeiro RJ) was immortalized by the lyrics written for the Santos Coelho composition "Saudade Eterna," renamed by Correia as "Flores do Mal." Correia used to sing in bars with his powerful voice. He fell in love with a singer called Arminda Santos and she was kept for posterity in those lyrics. Domingos Correia committed suicide because of his impossible love, taking poison in the bar ABC, on the Lavradio street (downtown Rio). ~ Alvaro Neder, Rovi
