Buffalo, New York-based rapper Armani Caesar went from uptempo, pop-inflected tracks to slowing down and deepening her sound.

Born in 1989, she started rapping at 12. Although prolific in her early career with releases including 2009's Bath Body Work and 2011's Handbag Addict, it wasn't until she joined the Griselda Records roster that she garnered wider attention. Her breakthrough track, 2020's "Simple Done," featured a more measured approach, as she slowed down proceedings without losing her edge.
