Biography
Andy Hughes is a british producer and DJ based out of the Bunk Junk Genious studio in South London, U.K. In his early days he remixed artists such as Neneh Cherry, De La Soul, and Rebel MC. He designed and co-ran the 48-track studio Bunk Junk Genius where he has worked with David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys, and Tina Turner. In the early '90s he started producing the English techno staple act the Orb for the Live '93 album and FFWD with Robert Fripp, he also helped them build the Back Passage studio in Clapham, South London. Hughes started playing live with the Orb soon after, playing Woodstock 2 and touring off and on with the group untill 1997, when the members of the Orb finally went their seperate ways. In 2000, Hughes went solo and in October released the mix CD Altered States, featuring Paul Van Dyke, Moby ,and a Timo Maas remix of Green Velvet's Flash. ~ Diana Potts, Rovi
