Biography
Quentin Mosimann was the winner of the seventh edition of the French American Idol-like TV show Star Academy. There he performed with elaborate showmanship and developed his blend of jazz and electronica, performing Taxi Girl's hit "Cherchez le Garçon" in two separate versions, a jazzy one and an electronic one, which showed up on first EP outing in early summer of 2008. He went on with that two-sided singer concept on his first LP, Duel, released in August 2008, by cutting the record in two distinct halves. Duel was certified gold by the end of that same year. In 2010, Mosimann released his second album, Exhibition. The electro-pop-influenced release peaked at number seven on the French charts. The 8 Deadly Sins followed in 2013. ~ Olivier Duboc, Rovi
