Biography
Originally a member of the R&B group Black Buddafly, Amina Buddafly launched a solo career in 2013 via reality television. Born in Hamburg, Germany of Senegalese and German descent, Amina joined sisters Sophie and Safietou in Choyce, a group that became the Def Jam act Black Buddafly in the early 2000s. After a couple singles for the label, Sophie departed the group, leaving them dormant. In 2013, Amina struck out on her own in television, appearing on the VH1 reality series Love and Hip-Hop. She returned to music after the series was completed and released her debut solo album, Mymusic, in 2015. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
