Born Alejandro Coranza, Ohgeesy was one of the founding members of Los Angeles rap collective Shoreline Mafia. The group began in 2012, and by the end of the 2010s they had gathered significant buzz for their fun, unhinged, and often dark sound. After appearing as a featured guest on other artists' material, Ohgeesy offered up his first solo tracks in 2020, beginning with the bass-forward single "Bandemic (E.E.D.)." Several other singles preceded Ohgeesy's debut album, Geezyworld. Released through Atlantic in August 2021, the set reached number 102 on the Billboard 200 and featured guest spots from DaBaby, YG, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and others. A deluxe version of the album appeared in 2022 and featured several popular bonus tracks including "Go Fast" featuring Eladio Carrión and "Let Me Know" with Kalan.FrFr. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
