The Southwestern trio Earthlings? consists of Fred Drake (who has helped out acts like Daniel Lanois, Vic Chesnutt, and House of Love in the studio), Dave Catching (Tex and the Horseheads, Queens of the Stone Age), and vocalist Pete Stahl (Scream, Wool). The group's sound fell somewhere in between the desert-fried rock roll of bands like the Meat Puppets and spacy excursions into Krautrock-influenced sci-fi fantasies.
