Raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Morgue grew up in a large family, the second oldest of six siblings. Interested in music from a young age, she started playing guitar around age ten, and by her teens was writing her own songs. Inspired by such icons as Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefani, and Pink Floyd, she began posting her tracks online. In 2016, her video for the haunting original song "Medusa" went viral. She subsequently signed a deal with Republic Records, and in 2017 released a new version of "Medusa" produced by C.J. Baran (Carly Rae Jepsen, Panic! At the Disco, Bea Miller), featured on 2018's Medusa EP.
Morgue continued working with Baran, and issued the single "Headcase" in early 2019 as a preview for her debut EP. Featuring a sample from the Pixies classic "Where Is My Mind?," the single confronted feelings of love and fear in relationships (driven in part by Morgue's battle with bipolar disorder), and featured Hayley Kiyoko. A second EP, Here in Your Bedroom, appeared in 2020, followed by singles like 2021's "Another Day in Paradise" and 2022's "A Good Day to Be My Dealer" and "End of My Life." ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
