Biography
William Boyce and Maurice Greene, temporarily at least, were a joint publishing firm. The major body of work to issue forth from their cooperation was "Cathedral Music". This was an anthological collection of church music, ancient and modern, that was begun by Greene and finished by Boyce. The work was so important and thorough that it was used until the end of the nineteenth century. (Samuel Arnold also contributed to its completion.) Works in this publication were composed by Blow, Byrd, Gibbons, Humphrey, Morley, Purcell, and Tallis. ~ Keith Johnson, Rovi
