Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza
Biography
Eclectic and punishing extreme metal outfit Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza formed around the talents of Layne Meylain, Brad Thompson, Mike Butler, Mason Crooks, and Jessie Freeland in Murfreesboro, TN, a suburb of Nashville. The hard-hitting quintet, specializing in a tech-heavy blend of grindcore, groove-dominated thrash, and experimental metal, joined the Corrosive Recording label's roster in 2005 after the release of their independent debut. After touring relentlessly throughout the United States, the group released Danza II: The Electric Boogaloo on Metal Blade in 2007. Meylain and Butler left the group (amicably) in 2009, and drummer Mike Bradley was added. Danza III: A Series of Unfortunate Events arrived on July 6, 2010. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
