Biography
British baritone and choral conductor Gabriel Crouch started studying music at age eight, when he became a member of the Westminster Abbey Choir; as head chorister, he was a soloist at the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson in 1986. After receiving a scholarship, he earned his Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees at Trinity College, Cambridge, and a Master of Music at Butler University. Crouch joined the King's Singers in 1996 as a second baritone, and performed with the group on tour and recordings until 2004. He was named the music director of Gallicantus, an early music group, and was signed to the Signum label. Crouch has also performed with the Winchester Cathedral Choir, Polyphony, Tenebrae, the Cambridge Singers, and the Gabrieli Consort, and given recitals with lutenists Daniel Swenberg and Nigel North. Crouch was the director of DePauw University Choral Ensembles, and also directed the Princeton Glee Club. ~ Blair Sanderson, Rovi
