Biography
Children of the Stones is the collaborative project founded by Mark Van Hoen and vocalist Martin Maeers. The pair go back to playing in bands during their English schooldays in the late 1980s.
Van Hoen was a founding member of Seefeel, Locust, Scala, Velma, and Black Hearted Brother. He issued numerous solo projects as well. Other Children of the Stones collaborators included former Black Hearted Brother bandmate Neil Halstead, Rachel Davies of Esben The Witch, Al Forrester, and Angus Finlayson. Their self-titled EP was issued by Saint Marie Records in February of 2014, followed by the album The Stars and the Silence at the end of March. ~ Thom Jurek, Rovi
