INHEAVEN
from South London, England
Biography
South London's INHEAVEN mix grunge, shoegaze, and other influences in an eclectic, decades-spanning take on rock. The group began when bassist/vocalist Chloe Little, a film student, began making short visuals that vocalist/guitarist James Taylor used as songwriting inspiration. The band came up with its first song, "Regeneration," using this process, and posted it and several other tracks online after recruiting drummer Joe Lazarus and guitarist Jake Lucas. The songs attracted the attention of Cult Records, the label founded by the Strokes' Julian Casablancas. Cult Records released "Regeneration" as INHEAVEN's official debut single in 2015. Several other singles followed, including that year's "Bitter Town" and 2016's "Baby's Alright" and "All There Is." INHEAVEN decamped to Wales with Tom Dalgety to record their self-titled debut album; prior to its September 2017 release, the singles "Vultures" and "World on Fire" heralded its more polished sound. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
