Himadri, the son of two genetic engineers, is also related to classical Indian musicians. Born in Toronto in the early '70s, he studied the sitar for six years, and has composed music for a National Ballet of Canada performance. Though he's a lover of hip-hop (he even opened for Public Enemy once), Himadri's main band is the techno/terrorist group Teste with Dave Huren. The two have recorded an album (Seminal Lingam) and two EPs (The Wipe, Regions) for Probe, an offshoot of the Plus 8 label. Himadri has also recorded as himself and as Turph. ~ John Bush, Rovi
