Chicago area keyboardist Terry Fryer was an in-demand session musician for both recording dates and jingle sessions during the '70s, '80s, and '90s. Opening his own Terry Fryer Music, he composed jingles for high-profile clients like Kraft, Ford Motor Company, Kellogg, Coors, WGN-TV, the Chicago Cubs, and Proctor and Gamble. Fryer also did some songwriting, frequently collaborating with jingle singer Keithen Carter. The duo had a song covered on Chicago soul vocal group Heaven and Earth's 1979 Mercury album Fantasy.

Fryer's keyboards can also be heard on the following: Natalie Cole's This Will Be: Natalie Cole's Everlasting Love, the Manhattans' Black Tie and The Best of the Manhattans, James Young's Out on a Day Pass, The Electric Collection by fellow Chicagoan Ramsey Lewis, and the Groundhog Day soundtrack.
