Biography
Blessed with a beautiful voice, Stephanie Haynes has appeared regularly in Los Angeles and Orange County clubs beginning in the early '80s. A classically trained flutist through college, she sang in jazz clubs in Albuquerque, NM, in the late '60s, and then performed pop music with a Top 40 group for seven years. However, Haynes rediscovered jazz; moved to Orange County; worked frequently with pianist Kent Glenn (1980-1985); and recorded for Ortho, Trend, and Holt. In the '90s, she often performed adventurous duets with pianist Dave Mackay (including cutting a CD for Why Not) and sang with Bopsicle. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
