Mexican singer/actor Eduardo Capetillo (born Eduardo Capetillo Vásquez) began his singing career while participating in a children's ensemble called Timbiriche (Thalia, Paulina Rubio). In 1989, the young artist decided to go on his own. After issuing an EP comprising songs from the soap opera #Alcanzar Una Estrella, Eduardo Capetillo recorded his debut album, titled Dame Una Noche. Mostly featuring ballads, Aqui Estoy and Piel Ajena followed in 1994 and 1995 respectively.
