Biography
While Reinhard Voigt's releases on Profan feature his experimental side and his Sturm albums on Mille Plateaux feature his surreal side, his releases as Kron for Harvest feature his most accessible side. After making a name for himself with some raw, edgy experimental techno on the Cologne-based Profan label as both Sweet Reinhard and Pentax, Voigt was awarded the opportunity to record for Harvest, a major label-affiliated European subsidiary very much interested in the commercial side of techno. Beginning in 1997, he released the first in a series of increasingly popular records, Kron, followed by the Gold und Liebe album in 1998. A year later, the Silikron album appeared, followed by remixes. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
