Biography
Luis Cepeda, who composes and performs under the mononym Cepeda, is a Spanish singer/songwriter who rose to fame after making a name for himself on the reality television music competition programs La Voz (the Spanish version of The Voice) and Operación Triunfo.

Hailing from Ourense, Galicia, Cepeda studied industrial design and engineering before turning his sights towards a career in music. In 2015, he joined the third season of La Voz, where he performed "Wherever You Will Go" by the Calling, but he was eliminated in the first round. Undeterred, Cepeda participated in the 2017 season of Operación Triunfo. Despite being ousted in the ninth round, he proved to be wildly popular and amassed a significant number of online followers who likened the rising star to Spanish pop contemporaries like Antonio Orozco and Pablo Alborán. Cepeda issued his debut album, Principios, the following year. In 2019, he released the singles "Mi Reino" and "Culpable Oh No," the latter of which featured fellow Operación Triunfo alum Ana Guerra. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
