Biography
A sort of Latin rap supergroup, Latino Velvet included Latin hip-hop pioneer Frost (formerly Kid Frost; born Art Molina) and N2Deep's Jay Tee (born James Trujillo), as well as Baby Beesh (born Ken Franklin) and Don Ciscone. The group issued their debut album, Clique, in 1998, nabbing guest spots from Mellow Man Ace, N2Deep, Celly Cel, and Roger Troutman. The follow-up, Velvet City, appeared in the spring of 2000; Playing Velvet appeared a year later. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
