Virginia-based metalcore collective Cassius formed in the city of Richmond in 2003. After various lineup changes, the band settled down with vocalist Myke Terry, guitarists Ben Diller and Nick Smigielski, drummer Tony Lastomirsky, and bassist Brian Pennington. Hardcore touring (with acts like Ed Gein and Misery Signals, among others) and a fierce commitment eventually brought them to Red Planet Studios to record their debut, I Am Jim Jones, which was released in January 2007 on the Lifeforce Records label. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
