Biography
A fine Dixieland cornetist, Doc Evans freelanced in the Midwest before leading his own bands in Chicago starting in the 1940s. He recorded extensively for Audiophile during 1949-1959. Evans settled in Minneapolis later in life, playing music up until near his death; his last recordings were in 1975. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
