Lone Wolf
Biography
Yet another band vehicle for workaholic heavy metal singer Brian Ross -- though one of his shorter-lived ones at that -- Lone Wolf was actually founded without his involvement by guitarist Dave Johnson and a trio of long forgotten henchmen who left only 1982's Leave Me Behind single on obscure indie label Guardian as proof of their existence. Ross only came into the picture in 1984, and then with the sole intention of serving as Lone Wolf's manager. But when Johnson, bassist Dave Allan, and drummer Steve Hutchinson were forced to sack their lead vocalist shortly before recording their first product for Neat Records, Ross reluctantly agreed to lend his voice to what would become the Nobody's Move EP. And despite the pretty decent results, it was only a matter of time before Ross was to be lured away to resurrect the seminal Blitzkrieg, leaving Lone Wolf to finally fold in frustration. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
