Florentino, a Manchester-based producer of Colombian heritage, fuses the cutting edge of Latin dance and U.K. bass culture, additionally incorporating dancehall and contemporary R&B. His tracks are upbeat, sophisticated, and seductive, while occasionally masking a sense of melancholy, particularly on the 2018 EP Fragmentos.

Yeshe Beesley initially produced grime-influenced bass music under the name Samename, surfacing with remixes for Wiley and Spooky in 2013, as well as the Yume EP in 2014. He then abandoned the moniker and adopted the name Florentino as he began making music that reflected his Latin heritage, while still keeping in tune with the developments of the U.K. club scene. He became affiliated with the dancehall/grime label Swing Ting, which issued his debut EP, Tu y Yo, in 2015, as well as the similar-minded New York label Mixpak. The single "Bloodline"/"Sientelo" followed in 2016, and Florentino remixed or collaborated with a wide range of artists including Dawn Richard, Murlo, and Equiknoxx. In 2018, he produced the song "Blink" by Catalan MC Bad Gyal, who also guested on his single "Por Ti."
