Biography
Former Jesus Mary Chain guitarist and drummer John Moore went solo in 1989 for Expressway Rising, a fine, rough-sounding debut that didn't stray all that far from the work of his former mates. He followed that release a year later for Distortion, enlisting the help of several others and delivering a cleaner record that wasn't quite as good as his debut. In the late '90s, Moore teamed up with the Auteurs' Luke Haines and Sarah Nixey for Black Box Recorder, co-writing everything with Haines. In his spare time, Moore imports absinthe. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
