Multi-instrumentalist John Faulkner has recorded and/or performed with Ewan MacColl's Critic's Group, De Danaan and his ex-wife, Dolores Keane, and as a soloist.His greatest success, however, has come as the composer of soundtracks for BBC documentary videos, the owner of a recording studio in County Galway and the producer of albums by Keane, John Beag, The Lonely Stranded Band and Alec Finn. Faulkner co-produced De Danaan's albums, Ballroom and Hibernian Rhpsody. In 1989, Faulkner's song, Lion In A Cage, written for Nelson Mandela, remained at the top position of the Irish music charts for four weeks. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
