Singer/songwriter and guitarist Mick Medew formed the Screaming Tribesmen in Brisbane, Australia, in late 1981. The band's current lineup coalesced around 1986: Medew, guitarist Chris Klondike Masuak, bassist Bob Wackley and drummer Warwick Fraser.
