Sister of the singers Cyva, Cynara, and Cylene (of the Quarteto em Cy), Cybele left the group in 1967, forming with her sister Cynara the duo Cynara e Cybele, which dissolved in 1968. Cybele released works for the cinema, dubbed as Snow White (in reference to the Walt Disney feature). In 1974 she recorded the double single Cybele with accompaniment by the Terra Trio. After several years on the TV Globo choral with which she participated in major nationwide specials, Cybele returned to the Quarteto em Cy in 1980, which she has been a stable member of since. ~ Alvaro Neder, Rovi
