Biography
Sleepy Tom -- born Cam Tatham in Squamish, British Columbia -- spun a brand of deep house befitting of the '90s on his debut EP, The Currency. Released in early 2013 on Fool's Gold Records, the four-song release thumped and throbbed like Disclosure (with just a bit more stank on the kick) and packed enough bombastic excitement for the festival scene, much like forebears Justice and Skrillex. The Vancouver-based producer and DJ went on to remix tracks for some of the heavier hitters of the EDM scene at that time, like Zeds Dead, Martin Solveig, and Diplo, who would collaborate with Sleepy Tom to score a U.K. hit ("Be Right There") in 2015. ~ Neil Z.
