Biography
A gifted French baritone who excelled in dramatic presentation with a rich, resonant and stylish voice and superb acting abilities. Faure was equally comfortable in French and Italian opera and was highly lauded for his portrayal of and singing in the roles of Mephistopheles, Hamlet, Tell, Alphonse (`La favorite'), and especially Don Giovanni.
