Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, self-taught musician Lonr. (born Elijah Dias) got his start in the industry working with R&B up-and-comer H.E.R. After landing himself two Grammy nominations for his work on H.E.R.'s material, Dias made his solo debut with late 2019 singles "A.M." and "Safe Zone." Blending the style of croon-rap contemporaries like Post Malone with a more direct R&B influence, the musician's early work championed the lovestruck and braggadocious styles of the two genres, underscored by breezy trap production. After kicking off 2020 with H.E.R. collaboration "Make the Most," the musician released his debut EP, Land of Nothing Real, in April that year. Displaying a dizzying array of styles that run the gamut from hip-hop and pop to punk, rock, and R&B, he released his sonically expansive follow-up, Land of Nothing Real 2, in 2021. ~ David Crone, Rovi
