Legs
Biography
The duo of Jeffrey Harland and Matt Bullimore formed Oakland-based noise pop group Legs in 2011. The two had been friends for a long time and had played in bands before deciding to join forces and begin recording. Inspired by the noisy pop found on labels like mid-'80s Creation and Flying Nun (Bullimore was born in New Zealand and grew up as a fan of the label), Harland and Bullimore spent a year as a duo recording project only as Matt learned to play drums and they honed their sound. Slowly they began to add members to the band -- first Amelia Adams on vocals, then Kevin Walker and Spencer Hicks -- as they painstakingly worked on recording an album. After hooking up with San Francisco label Loglady and finishing up some songs, the band released Pass the Ringo in the spring of 2013. ~ Tim Sendra, Rovi
