Erdbeerschnitzel
from Mittelfischbach, Germany
Biography
Erdbeerschnitzel is the recording alias of German house producer Tim Keiling, who crafts lush, offbeat dance tracks with a sly, playful sense of humor. His richly melodic deep house grooves often feature deftly manipulated vocal samples (typically sourced from R&B records) and heavy bass, resulting in quirky yet soulful tracks fit for any open-minded dancefloor. Keiling began producing music in 2006, dabbling with big beat and drum'n'bass before developing his unique style of house music. Several digital releases appeared in 2008 and 2009, including the full-length Pathetik Party, an eclectic album with tracks ranging from dubstep to heavily edited micro-house. 12" EPs appeared on 3rd Strike Records, Mirau, and 4 Lux in 2010, emphasizing the more club-friendly aspects of Keiling's sound. Mirau also released Erdbeerschnitzel's 2012 full-length Tender Leaf, a double LP of smooth yet hazy house tracks. Keiling signed to Delsin for the release of the 2013 EP Cushion, which was followed by The Ample Waters in 2014. In 2015, Rote Liebe released The Attendants, Erdbeerschnitzel's most experimental work to date. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
