Biography
Los Dareyes de la Sierra are a popular norteño group hailing from Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico, who released a series of albums on the Disa label and whose hits include "Hasta el Día de Hoy." Originally founded in 1997 with a different lineup under a different name, Los Dareyes are led by vocalist/accordionist José Darey Castro, who is supported by Miguel Enrique Razcón and Juan Vázquez. Not counting the numerous greatest-hits compilations in their catalog, Los Dareyes' albums include El Águila Real (2005), Cigarro de Hoja (2005), Como Tú los Querías Oír en Vivo (2005), La Dueña de Mi Vida (2005), Directo (2006), En la Mira (2007), and Con Banda (2008). Their most popular songs include "Quisiera Ser una Lagrima," "El Jabalí," "El Águila Real" (from El Águila Real); "El Novillo Despuntado," "El Fin de Nuestro Amor," "El Perdedor" (from Cigarro de Hoja); "Dueña de Mi Vida," "La Más Bonita de Todos," "Arrincónamela" (from La Dueña de Mi Vida); "Tu Perfume," "Vida Mafiosa," "El Valiente" (from Directo); and "Hasta el Día de Hoy" (from Con Banda). ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
