Biography
The Second Edition, the duo of Bruce Winther and Dick Winther, made one single on the local Minnesota label Scotty in 1967, To Keep You/Life Is.... To Keep You was a forgettable, innocuous pop-rock tune with a period 1967 AM pop production, and a trace of folk-rock. Jim Kane (bass) and Tom Murray (drums) of the renowned local garage band the Litter played on the single, although it bore little resemblance to the Litter's ferocious debut album. The connection was established by Warren Kendrick, who produced and wrote To Keep You, and also produced the Litter for his Scotty label (and also wrote some songs for the Litter). To Keep You was reissued on the compilation The Scotty Story, although its flipside, Life Is..., was not included. ~ Richie Unterberger, Rovi
