Punkabilly revivalists the Amazing Crowns actually began life as the Amazing Royal Crowns, releasing an eponymous debut album under that name in 1997 before a lawsuit by the Royal Crown Revue forced them to shorten it. The band's lineup featured vocalist Jason King Kendall, guitarist J.D.
