Ron Riddle began his music career as the drummer of American progressive rockers Happy the Man. That group, while receiving a lot of critical acclaim, never really attained the commercial success that should have been due them. He also played with Blue Öyster Cult for a time and was part of the BOC spin off project, The Red and the Black.
