Biography
Proudly representing Atlanta, Georgia, rapper Scotty ATL began making music as a teenager when a friend of his joined the Navy and indefinitely loaned young Scotty (real name Walter Scott Williams) his recording equipment. Building off that D.I.Y. beginning, Williams started his own label, Cool Club, and began selling CDs of his music at school. The label was home to a string of his increasingly popular mixtapes, including 2011's Summer Dreams, 2012's The Jiffy Cornbread Experience, 2013's F.A.I.T.H. (Forever Atlanta in the Heart) and many more; sometimes he'd release multiple projects a year. He would occasionally collaborate with rising rapper B.o.B. and eventually signed on with B.o.B.'s label No Genre. By 2017 Scotty ATL was on a prolific tear, touring constantly and releasing several mixtapes that year including Who Shot Cupid and Cool Club Millionaires. 2018 release OTW sported the single "Ratchet" and included features from Zaytoven, DJ Blak, and Nick Grant. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
