Louise Elizabeth Nurding was born in Lewisham, England, in 1974. Nurding started dancing lessons when she was very young. Later her skills at dancing and singing won her a chance to attend the Italia Conti stage school on a coveted scholarship. All of the hard training and endless lessons paid off big for Nurding when she joined Vernie Bennett, her sister Easther Bennett, and friend Kelle Bryan to from the group Eternal.
In 1996, Nurding completed her enjoyable debut album, Naked. She released five singles from the album, and each one charted in the Top 20; four of them -- Undivided Love, One Kiss From Heaven, Naked, and Light of My Life -- made it into the Top Ten. Whatever doubts Nurding surely had about her brave choice to go solo were quickly put to rest with the first hints of victory. A sophomore pop/rock album, Woman in Me, came out a year later, bringing a few more tunes to the charts. Nurding's third offering arrived in 2000, Elbow Beach. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
