Biography
A former member of hit U.K. boy band Blue, Antony Costa (born in Edgware, Middlesex, England on June 23, 1981) went on to become a solo artist, television presenter, and reality television show player. He also appeared in dramatic roles on British television, including spots on #Grange Hill and #The Bill. After getting kicked off #I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here (a U.K. celebrity-stacked reality show) in 2005, Costa released a solo single, the Top 20 Do You Ever Think of Me, in 2006. He followed that with a debut album in the summer of 2006, but its lukewarm reception -- and failure to chart -- led to severed ties with his label, Globe Records. Costa then went on to hone his skills and keep working in the musical theater world, landing the role of Mickey Johnstone in the musical +Blood Brothers and touring with the stage production +Boogie Nights. A new album was planned for release in 2008, and to generate a buzz for the new material, Costa embarked on solo U.K. tour in the early part of that year. ~ Chris True, Rovi
