Biography
Memphis duo Motel Mirrors make old-school '50s- and '60s-influenced country and rock. A side project of two journeyman singer/songwriters, Motel Mirrors features John Paul Keith and Amy LaVere. On his own, guitarist/vocalist Keith has released several well-received power pop- and rockabilly-infused albums. Similarly, double-bassist/vocalist LaVere has a handful of highly personal albums that cross the line between indie rock and alt-country. After striking up a friendship in 2012, the duo began working on recording original material and a few covers with LaVere's drummer Shawn Zorn. Motel Mirrors released their debut self-titled album in 2013. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
