A bit more independent than a full-fledged Bandulu side project, Sons of the Subway consists of Bandulu's Lucien Thompson and longtime friend Dave Pitts. The duo's take on techno is just as aggro as Bandulu -- both in ethic and execution -- but looks more to the past, not just in Detroit techno but in '80s electro and old-school hip-hop.
