Biography
Italian pop duo Sonohra formed in Verona in the early 2000s, comprised of brothers Luca (b. February 27, 1982) and Diego Fainello (b. November 27, 1986), both vocalists and guitarists. Their first single, Grido e Canto, was released in 2003 under the moniker 2tto, and in the same period they also sang the main theme for the children's cartoon show #UFO Baby. Then, having changed the name of their duo to Domino, in 2006 the brothers released another single, Come Tu Mi Vuoi. In February 2008, after the name change to Sonohra, the brothers took part in the Sanremo Music Festival, winning the New Artists section with the song L'Amore, which garnered them attention from the most important Italian radio networks as well as an audience comprised for the most part of teenagers. Another single, Love Show, followed, and was included in the duo's first album, Liberi da Sempre, a collection of delicate and catchy acoustic pop tunes with a slight British influence. During the same year, Sonohra won the Best New Act prize at the #TRL Italy Awards. ~ Aurelio Pasini, Rovi
