Biography
Essentially a solo vehicle for journeyman singer/songwriter Don Miggs, the band Miggs makes mainstream melodic pop/rock with a bit of an alt-rock edge. Miggs and his original backing group released the debut album Anyway in 2002 and followed it up two years later with Insomnia. Around that time, Miggs began working with a new lineup and released the EP Late Nights Early Mornings in 2007, with the long-player Unraveled arriving in 2008. Further personnel changes ensued, and in 2010 -- working with producer/engineer Ken Lewis (Fall Out Boy, Kanye West) -- Miggs delivered the full-length effort Wide Awake. The band's fifth LP, the Phil Ramone-produced 15th Hope, arrived in 2012. With a new aim of creating music for himself instead of others, Don Miggs wrote some new songs and settled in with his bandmates -- guitarist John Luzzi, bassist Michael Lombardo, and drummer Walker Adams -- to record an eponymous album. Featuring the lead single "Ordinary," which hit the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart, it was slated for release in late 2015. ~ Matt Collar & Marcy Donelson, Rovi
