Biography
A fine guitarist with a few releases on the Brownstone label, Mitch Seidman started off playing with rock bands in Albany, NY. He moved to Boston in 1973 to attend Berklee and, other than six years in New York, has been based in Boston ever since. He considers Jim Hall, Jimmy Raney, and Tal Farlow to be his main influences, and has played with many musicians through the years, including Harold Vick, Ted Brown, George Garzone, and Herb Pomeroy. Siedman's 1995 release Ants in a Trance utilizes the unusual instrumentation of guitar, bass, bass clarinet, and viola. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
