Singer and Christian worship leader Casey J grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where, blessed with a soulful voice, she was active in the singing groups and choirs at her local church. As an adult she worked as a professional educator and as a worship pastor in Duluth, Georgia. She signed a management deal with Marquis Boone Enterprises in 2014 and began work on her debut album.
