A TV drama about the fictional Greenleaf family and their Memphis, Tennessee megachurch, Greenleaf premiered on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) in June 2016 and drew the network's highest ratings to date. Winans Family member Deborah Joy Winans was cast as the church's Minister of Music, and the show features gospel performances from her and other members of the Greenleaf Cast, and from well-known guest vocalists. Released late in the summer of 2016, Greenleaf: Gospel Companion Soundtrack, Vol. 1 featured Winans and Desiree Ross, who plays Sophia Greenleaf on the show, plus soundtrack guests Shirley Caesar, Melinda Doolittle, the McCrary Sisters, and Dottie Peoples the People's Choice Chorale. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
