Formed by label head Gucci Mane, the New 1017 crew is made up of signees to the Atlanta trap don's Atlantic imprint, the New 1017 Records. Making their debuts in 2020, the members took center stage on compilations such as So Icy Summer and So Icy Gang, Vol. 1.

In addition to Gucci, the group also includes Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Big Scarr, Roboy, and So Icy Girlz (the duo of Enchanting and K Shiday). They were unveiled in the summer of 2020, when Gucci announced a new partnership with his own label, Atlantic Records. Their first showcase, So Icy Summer, arrived in July. Alongside the up-and-coming young rappers, famous friends such as Young Thug, Future, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, and Moneybagg Yo joined the party.
