Biography
Like nostalgic contemporaries Bleachers and Walk the Moon, Computer Games blends pop and indie rock with a distinctly '80s vibe. The duo was formed by Glee's Darren Criss and his older brother Chuck (of Freelance Whales) as an outlet to pay homage to the sounds of their childhoods and have some sibling fun. Their love of the bright rhythms found in the music of Miami Sound Machine, Lionel Richie, and even Phil Collins informed much of their debut EP, Lost Boys Life. Released in early 2017, the four-song set was produced by the Elev3n and featured the horn-laden "Every Single Night," which captured the spirit of Richie's 1983 classic "All Night Long." Chuck Criss died in February 2022 at the age of 36. ~ Neil Z. Yeung, Rovi
