After releasing two demo's under the moniker Fade, Jon DeRosa under went the name change to Dead Leaves Rising in 1996 by taking a turn to a darker, moodier folk sound. Formed as a solo project for singer/guitarist DeRosa, Dead Leaves Rising not only experienced many of performances throughout his home town of New York City, but also a number of lineup changes. 1997 would finally see the release of his first CD EP, entitled Shadow Complex, after several self-produced demos and compilation contributions. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
